SPECTROSCOPIC TECHNIQUES FOR MEDICAL DIAGNOSTIC COURSE
It is a pleasure for the Optics Coordination and the Biomedical Optics Instrumentation Group (GIOB) led by Dr. Jorge Castro Ramos to extend a warm invitation to the "Spectroscopy Techniques for Medical Diagnosis" course, which will be taught by Dr. Adrián Eugenio Villanueva Luna, PhD in optics (www.linkedin.com/in/adrianvl)
This course delves into the complex relationship between light and matter, with special emphasis on its applications in the field of medical diagnosis. During the period from March to August, participants will have the opportunity to thoroughly explore various spectroscopic techniques, acquiring valuable knowledge about the fundamental principles governing the interaction between electromagnetic radiation and biological substances.
The curriculum covers a wide variety of spectroscopic methods, each providing unique insights into probing molecular structures and extracting critical information for medical purposes. This course offers a unique opportunity to delve into the fascinating world of biomedical optics and its crucial role in modern medicine.
The course will be held on Mondays and Tuesdays from 9:30 to 11:00 am, and on Wednesdays from 9:30 to 10:30 am, from March 12 to August 21, 2024, in room 4 of the INAOE library. Zoom links for guest lectures can be found on the website.
