We congratulate Nallely Arroyo Silva on her successful master's thesis defense in Biomedical Sciences and Technologies
The Biomedical Optics Instrumentation Group (GIOB) at the Optics Coordination of the National Institute of Astrophysics, Optics, and Electronics (INAOE) proudly congratulates Nallely Arroyo Silva for successfully defending her thesis titled "Implementation of Raman Spectroscopy to Quantify Sialic Acid in Saliva as a Preliminary Step Towards Breast Cancer Diagnosis." The defense took place on August 15 at 10:00 am in the INAOE's Docente Auditorium.
Under the guidance of Dr. Jorge Castro Ramos, Nallely made a significant contribution to the field of spectroscopy applied to health. Her work establishes a preliminary basis for the early detection of breast cancer through the analysis of sialic acid in saliva, a promising advancement in the development of non-invasive diagnostic methods.
The examination jury was composed of distinguished researchers:
- Dr. Carlos Gerardo Treviño Palacios (INAOE)
- Dr. Rafael Izazaga Pérez (INAOE)
- Dr. José Luis Flores Guerrero (CIIEC-BUAP)
Additionally, el Dr. José de Jesús Rangel Magdaleno served as the academic observer.
We are proud of Nallely's commitment and dedication, and we are confident that she will continue to achieve success in her professional career. Congratulations on this great accomplishment and for earning the Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences and Technologies!
The GIOB wishes you all the best in your future projects!
